Our Ideology

“Let New India arise in your place; let her arise out of the peasants’ cottage, grasping the plough; out of the huts of the fisherman, the cobblers and the sweepers. “DARIDRA DEVO BHAVA, MURKH DEVO BHAVA” – “The poor, the illiterate, the ignorant, the afflicted — let these be your God.” We have added with this Krishaka Devo Bhava (Let farmers be your god)”.

“Know that service to these alone is the highest religion. Evolving citizens with the value system will lead to prosperity and a peaceful world. Once you are charged with adequate education and knowledge, it is your moral duty to enlighten the entire world with the gospel of truth and humanity”.

Background of GBSS

Gramin Bharti Sewa Sanstha is a non-profit making Non-Governmental Organization registered under the Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860 in the year 2020. Blessed under the shed of Swami Vivekananda, a pride of young rural development graduates had started an expedition in the year 2019 to give materialistic inputs in the view of mass upliftment particularly the rural India. And those efforts were legally formalized under the name GRAMIN BHARTI SEWA SANSTHA (GBSS). GBSS inhaled a clear cut motto of securing overall rural development through assured regeneration of rural hamlets based upon the revival of the glorious past of the pious Indian cultures. GBSS has built it’s working pillars over Education, rural livelihoods, health & sanitation and women empowerment, Sustainable Agriculture practices and Agri-clinics, Social capacity development, Advocacy, social justice, Environmental cares and Rural Entrepreneurship Development in order to cover all dimensions for holistic rural development.

Our objectives are cultivated for availing convenience to the rural people and create awareness for actual realization of the prevalence of social issues that block the tracks of development and thereby ensure participation of youth in development activities of the village to strengthen rural mass for self-reliant and sustainability. A group of headstrong students of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute Ranchi, came forward with the eternal ideology of Swami Vivekananda, preceded a voyage on the footsteps leading onto the enlightened path of lifelong servitude towards humanity.Implementing “Shiv Gyan se Jeev Sewa” in their code of conduct, these students got registered for summer internship program launched by Government of India in 2018, they had successfully stamped the enthusiastic victory. Assessing the hitherto village scenario provided them enough space to implement their cognitive and skills towards establishment of clean surrounding along with the purity of minds and behavioral attitudes of the villagers.

The sweet fruits from the flowing sweats were well manifested in the form of winning the trust of villagers and established village commitment to create a SWACHH BHARAT. With the execution of knowledge based innovation, linking Swachhta Abhiyan with Agriculture production technology via preparation of the organic manures through the garbage wastes as raw materials proved a distinct identity of the team potentiality which have been recognized with the first prize at university level. These pleasures exceeded the hunger of those younger futures, and thus committed their lifelong dedication and loyalty towards fulfilment of Swami Vivekananda dream of establishing a strong and Prosperous India.

Swamiji believed, “Only education can lead humans towards the light. Only education can change this. The objective of education is character and personality development.” Such morals are well manifested through our arrangements of Night school programmes for our future India residing in hinterlands. For the proper functioning of any society both male and females must be given equal opportunities in every sphere with this very thought “Gramin Bharti Sewa Sanstha” Starts working towards women and children development in rural areas. With its determined steps, Gramin Bharti Family spreads from expended one to two and there on connecting many dots throughout villages.

Swamiji once said, “Even if we push resources of the whole world in a village, the village can’t progress if the villagers are not putting any effort.” For this reason, “Gramin Bharti Sewa Sanstha” started working towards creating livelihoods for villagers, they work towards this self-dependence and empowerment of villagers.
